About DJ Sweets Tastey Treats
Our Story
Hello there, I’m Dave, the guy behind the cake! My journey in baking started long ago as a child, baking with my grandmother and waiting eagerly to lick the spoon. Creating cakes started with my two boys, who had Celiac disease. It was very difficult to find gluten-free items that were both tasty and easy on the wallet. One day our baker cancelled on us last minute and I jumped in to give it a try (having no other choice)! The end result wasn’t too shabby, and I realized I had a knack for decorating. I’m a self-taught decorator who has spent the last 10 years creating for family and friends. Fast forward to now joining forces with my lovely partner Ashley, who previously had her own small business baking pies and other baked goods. Ashley does a large part of the baking; content creation and marketing and I focus a lot on the specialty items and decorating. Together we make an unstoppable team! We are home based bakers, looking forward to the opportunity to create all your sweet essentials for all your occasions.
